What you will do
* Maintain accurate general ledger records for assigned legal entities, ensuring timely month‑end close in line with group deadlines;
* Prepare and post journals, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions;
* Review postings made by outsourced providers (e.g. PwC) and follow up on queries or corrections;
* Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items proactively;
* Support preparation of statutory accounts and audit requests for legal entities;
* Ensure tax and regulatory compliance (e.g. VAT filings, corporate tax coordination) with support from central finance and external advisors;
* Liaise with the group finance team to ensure consistency in coding, policy application, and reporting across entities;
* Maintain a thorough audit trail and documentation of financial transactions and decisions;
* Assist with the integration of NetSuite modules and help transition manual processes into the system;
* Provide ad hoc analysis and support for projects, cost tracking, and internal reporting.
Who you are
* Newly qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience;
* 1‑3 years' experience in financial accounting or audit support;
* Understanding of general ledger principles, reconciliations, and financial close process;
* Strong Excel skills; experience with NetSuite or similar ERP is desirable;
* Proactive, organised, and comfortable with ambiguity and evolving systems;
* Willingness to take ownership and see issues through to resolution;
* Able to work both independently and collaboratively across departments and regions;
* Keen to grow with the business and develop professionally in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.
Salary
Up to £45,000 per annum. The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
