About the role
Our Client is building a brand-new sales team, and we're looking for ambitious people to join them. Whether you're an experienced Account Manager with a strong public sector customer base, or a driven Lead Generator looking to break into education and government sales, this is your opportunity to help shape something from the ground up.
What you'll be doing
* Selling IT hardware, software, and services into the public sector, with a strong focus on education (schools, academies, colleges, universities) as well as local and central government.
* Developing and managing relationships with key decision-makers and procurement teams.
* Generating and qualifying new leads through outbound calls, emails, and networking.
* Managing opportunities through the full sales cycle, from first contact to closure.
* Working closely with the Head of Public Sector to influence strategy, build pipeline, and grow your own customer base.
What we're looking for
* Sales experience in IT, ideally with public sector exposure but not essential.
* Confident communicator, comfortable on the phone and in meetings.
* Self-motivated with a hunter mentality and a desire to hit (and exceed) targets.
