The Role
As Management Accountant, you will take ownership of the preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely financial reporting. You’ll play a central role in coordinating the month‑end close process while supporting the wider finance function with technical guidance and day‑to‑day accounting activities.
This is a hands‑on role with broad exposure across the group, offering the opportunity to contribute to a growing and evolving business environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts
* VAT returns
* Support the team for technical help and queries
* Answer calls & e‑mails for the finance teams' shared inboxes and phone lines.
* Weekly and monthly reporting to the wider business
* Assist with the credit control.
* Maintain balance sheet recs and month end journals.
* Help with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
* Support internal and external audits with relevant documentation.
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date financial records.
* Assist and complete ad hoc requests
* Variance analysis
* Assist the payroll function
About You
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, organised, and motivated to add value within a fast‑paced and growing group environment.
You will ideally have:
* Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role
* ACCA or CIMA qualification (preferred)
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and month‑end processes
* Good working knowledge of payroll processes and financial systemsExcellent Excel skills and confidence using accounting software such as Sage or Xero
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* The ability to manage deadlines and coordinate effectively with stakeholders across the business
* A professional and discreet approach when handling confidential financial information
