Portmead Primary School: Teaching Assistant Level 2 (Temporary)
The Headteacher and Governing Body of Portmead Primary School, are looking to appoint a temporary Level 2 teaching assistant to start 1 September 2025 and to be reviewed in July 2026. Subject to term time only adjustment if appointment date is after the start of the academic year.

We're looking for someone who:
* Can support pupils in the classroom and help them with their learning
* Is happy to lend a hand to the class teacher with preparing resources, setting up activities, and helping to assess how pupils are doing
* Can take on practical tasks that help keep the school running smoothly
* Works well as part of a team and gets along with others
* Has good communication skills and can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
* Has confident reading, writing, and number skills
* Believes in using a restorative approach when it comes to behaviour
* Feels comfortable supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs or those who are learning English as an additional language
* Has a positive, can-do attitude and enjoys being part of a supportive team
* Is keen to get involved in the wider life of the school
