Apprenticeship Overview
Apprentice Sheet Metal Engineer/Welder. First 12 months on a Level 2 fabrication and welding apprenticeship, with opportunity to progress to a Level 3 engineering apprenticeship.
Responsibilities
* MIG and TIG welding
* Folding, bending, and cutting
* Handling stainless steel and aluminium
* Grinding and polishing
* Use of hand tools
* Powder coating
* Work from scale drawings
* Operate CNC‑driven press brakes, punch and bending machines
Working Hours per Week
39 hours across 4.5 days (early finish on Fridays)
