Location: Glenrothes / Kirkcaldy
Hours: 08:45 - 17:00
Shift Pattern: 9‑day fortnight
* Week 1: Monday to Friday
* Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (Wednesday off)
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Recycling Operator to join our team at a busy recycling centre in the Glenrothes/Kirkcaldy area. This is a hands‑on, active role where you will play an important part in supporting sustainable waste management for the local community.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting members of the public with the safe disposal and sorting of waste materials
* Ensuring recyclable materials are handled correctly and efficiently
* Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
* Providing excellent customer service and guidance on recycling procedures
* Supporting the overall operations of the recycling centre as required
What We're Looking For
* Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
* Good communication skills with a friendly, helpful approach
* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
* Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
* Previous waste/recycling experience beneficial but not essential
