The Legal Solutions Centre (LSC) is an essential part of our business made up of over 70 paralegals and legal executives, project managers, data analysts and client co-ordinators. They use flexible resourcing and time-saving technology to deliver a high-quality, cost-effective service for a range of large scale projects.

Were now looking for a Paralegal to join this team working on Planning & Infrastructure matters in our Bristol office.


Role

Were now looking for a Paralegal to join this team working on Planning & Infrastructure matters in our Bristol office.


Responsibilities

In the planning team, youll be responsible for supporting large DCO and CPO projects and will assist in managing the DCO/ CPO documentation, provide support through the examination process and through to consenting/ confirmation. You will also support work on major commercial and residential schemes, undertake research tasks, support real estate transactions; take responsibility for searches, post completion activities and managing the associated documentation. Youll demonstrate an interest in planning and real estate, a sound commercial understanding and awareness, a high level of client service delivery and apply a commercial appreciation of billing and time recording.


Qualifications

Were looking for people with previous experience in Planning or Real Estate, so you may currently be working as a Real Estate Paralegal or perhaps in a legal role with similar skill sets. Whats also important to us is that youre able to provide the highest level of customer / client experience in a fast paced environment, will take ownership and use initiative, demonstrate excellent time management and self-motivation with proven forward planning skills whilst with the ability to prioritise.

* Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
* Excellent written skills
* Experience of communicating over the telephone in a work environment
* Experience of working to deadlines
* Experience managing/prioritising your own work
* Collaboration skills
* Customer service skills
* A pass in English and Maths GSCE or equivalent, and three passes at A level or equivalent.


Desirable criteria

* Prior experience as a Planning Paralegal, Legal Assistant or similar role in a regulated environment.
* Experience using case/client management system
* Prior dealing with Land Registry systems
