Our busy and reliable Payroll Team are a key part of this, working together to provide comprehensive payroll service to colleagues across the Society. We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team at our Support Centre in Lincoln. This is a chance to play a key role in managing the full payroll process across multiple systems, working alongside a supportive and collaborative team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for: Handling a variety of payroll tasks, including: Starters and leavers Maternity, paternity, sickness, and other absences Expenses and timesheet processing Tax code queries and checks Salary sacrifices and other deductions Performing manual calculations for statutory payments and Society sick pay Ensuring all payroll deadlines are consistently met Preparing HMRC deductions for review and payment Supporting colleagues and responding to queries from both internal and external stakeholders If you’re detail-oriented, enjoy working as part of a team, and take pride in delivering accurate, timely payroll services, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real impact. About You We’re looking for an honest, reliable, and motivated individual with a keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills. If you have at least 2 years’ experience working within a fast-paced payroll environment, we’d love to hear from you. You’ll need to demonstrate: Experience using a market-leading payroll application for medium to large organisations (advantageous). Solid payroll knowledge, including rules and regulations, tax, national insurance, and statutory benefits. Confidence in performing manual payroll calculations. Up-to-date understanding of payroll legislation, including tax, national insurance, and statutory benefits rules. An appreciation for GDPR and the importance of confidentiality.
