Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an Agreements Engineer (Development Control) to join our Highways Team at Stoke-on-Trent City Council. In this role, you will shape and enhance our road network, delivering civil engineering projects, overseeing highway-related construction, and ensuring high-quality design approvals. You’ll work with internal and external stakeholders on large-scale and complex projects that make a real difference to our city.
Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the design, approval, and delivery of highway-related construction projects.
* Ensure compliance with national and regional design specifications and safety standards.
* Provide expert technical, design, and cost advice to internal and external clients.
* Manage the evaluation and authorisation of externally designed engineering schemes.
* Uphold the highest health, safety, and environmental standards for staff, contractors, and the public.
* Engage and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including the public and elected members.
