Design Consultant (Kitchen Design)
Location: Flexible working (remote with on-site visits required)
Salary: £33,000 to £45,000 DOE + bonuses/OTE
Overview:
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading UK design house specialising in kitchen and bar design. The business is known for delivering innovative, operationally efficient and sustainable food and beverage solutions for high-profile projects and is now looking to expand its reach across wider markets.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Foodservice Design Consultant with experience in catering equipment, foodservice or hospitality design to join a forward-thinking team. The role combines design expertise with client engagement and offers the chance to work on a range of unique and challenging projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support the design of kitchens and bars using AutoCAD (Revit knowledge advantageous but not essential).
* Collaborate with clients to understand requirements, attend site visits and conduct surveys.
* Manage projects from concept through to completion, including workflow reviews, reporting and ensuring compliance with budgets and timelines.
* Liaise with manufacturers, dealers, and clients to resolve design challenges and ensure successful project delivery.
* Review compliance on designs prior to issue and ensure quality standards are met.
* Drive business growth by supporting new opportunities and helping expand beyond the stadia sector.
* Work closely with the design team, including graphics and BIM/Revit specialists, to deliver exceptional results.
Candidate Profile:
* Proven background in foodservice, catering equipment, or hospitality design.
* Proficient in AutoCAD; strong understanding of commercial kitchen ergonomics and design principles.
* Strong communication and networking skills, with the ability to lead client meetings and presentations.
* Organised, detail-focused and able to manage multiple projects at once.
* Innovative and creative, able to contribute new ideas and approaches.
* Flexible and collaborative, comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team.
