We have been providing our global customer base with engineering design and component supply for more than 20 years. Our main activities are in the Oil & Gas, Steel Mill, Material Handling, Power Generation and Automotive sectors and range from pressed steel components to very large forgings and castings.

The Role
As a Technical Sales Engineer you will report to the Commercial Manager and be responsible for developing and nurturing customer accounts. Clear communication and careful organisation will be critical to your success.
This role will be based at our Head Office in Norwich. You will spend some time out the office visiting customers and prospects.
The main objective of the role are:
* Identifying and winning new customers
* Expanding the API product range with existing accounts
* Providing technical support to our customers
* Providing technical content for marketing
The main requirements of the role are:
Networking
* Business to business sales of technical products and solutions
* Desktop research of prospects
* Visits to exhibitions and conferences
* Phone and video conferencing and face to face meetings
Sales Management
* Developing and managing the sales pipeline
* Qualifying and nurturing leads
* Preparing and submitting proposals
* Negotiating with stakeholders
Providing Technical Support
* Ability to understand technical products and applications
* Clear communication of technical concepts to end-users and stakeholders
* Review of product specifications
Sales Materials
Produce technical sales materials including presentations, brochures and websites with the support of the wider Sales and Marketing Department.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Accuracy of work and attention to detail
* Excellent fluency in English, written and verbal
* Good computer literacy
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Experience in Steelmaking / Rolling or Manufacturing
* Technical experience or qualification in mechanical engineering or similar
* Experience in B2B sales
* Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
* Ability to travel internationally
* Fluency in another language is a bonus
* Experience using CRM software
