Hayward Hawk is partnering with a well-established Northern Ireland technology company thats entering an exciting new phase of growth and transformation. They have a strong track record of solving complex operational problems through technology and are now investing heavily in how they shape, deliver, and evolve their products. As part of this next phase, theyre looking to hire a dedicated Product Owner to help define product direction and introduce a more structured, modern product approach across the business. The Role This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded, non-technical Product Owner who enjoys working closely with customers, stakeholders, and delivery teams. Youll take ownership of product priorities and direction, bringing clarity and focus to what gets built and why. Working in a close-knit team of around 15 people, youll play a key role in modernising the companys product function and ways of working. There will be a handover from the current Product Owner, and real scope to put your own stamp on how product is done in the business. What youll be doing Owning and evolving the product roadmap in line with business goals Managing and prioritising the product backlog Working closely with stakeholders to capture and shape requirements Translating business problems into clear, valuable product outcomes Acting as the bridge between commercial and delivery teams Introducing and embedding strong product thinking and decision-making Helping shape the future direction of a growing software business What theyre looking for Theyre open on background and experience level, and more focused on mindset and fit. Ideally, youll have: Experience in a Product Owner or product-focused role Exposure to smaller companies, scale-ups, or lean product teams Strong stakeholder management and prioritisation skills A customer-first, commercially aware approach The confidence to bring structure and clarity into an evolving environment The ability to work closely with technical teams without being deeply technical This role will suit someone who wants real ownership and influence, rather than just operating within a rigid, corporate product structure.
