Job Description:
MCS Group is seeking an Environmental Health Officer for a public sector employer in Ipswich. This role offers a 4-day work week, a competitive salary, and potential for contract extension. Responsibilities include conducting inspections and investigations in environmental health, enforcing legislation, acting as an expert witness, collaborating with agencies, and supporting public health initiatives. The position requires a relevant degree, membership of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, and experience in a similar role. A full driver's license and transport are also necessary. The salary is £38.5k (pro-rata) for a 9-month contract with the possibility of extension.
The Person:
* Degree in Environmental Health or equivalent experience
* Membership of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health
* At least 1 year of relevant experience in the public sector
* Knowledge of current environmental health legislation
* Stakeholder engagement skills
* Full, valid driver’s license and access to transport
