Wednesday to Friday - 8.30 am - 3.30 pm
Term Time contract
Fixed term contract until 31st July 2026
About the role
The Severn Bridges Multi-Academy Trust and Governors of Mount Pleasant Primary School wish to appoint a dedicated and suitably experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our enthusiastic and supportive team.
The role will be an exciting one, working in EYFS and working with children with additional needs. The role will enable you to support children both academically and pastorally.
Responsibilities
* Support children in Early Years, including those with special educational needs, with emphasis on language and communication needs.
* Demonstrate skills in supporting communication and managing pupil’s emotions in a proactive, positive and supportive way to maximise learning.
* Lead the class during times such as PPA (as a Level 3 practitioner).
* Be part of a forward thinking and creative team, welcoming new ideas and enthusiasm.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Passionate about EYFS with understanding and experience of working with children in Early Years.
* Experience of working with children with special educational needs, particularly language and communication needs.
* Ability to support communication and manage pupil’s emotions effectively.
* Willingness to lead at times (PPA) as a Level 3 practitioner.
