Paediatric Audiology Team Leader / Clinical Scientist (Band 7)Paediatric Audiology Team Leader – Permanent, Part‑Time (30 hours)Leeds Community Paediatric AudiologyWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced paediatric audiologist/clinical scientist for a permanent part-time Band 7 position as Paediatric Audiology Team Leader in a busy but friendly community-based paediatric audiology team. The post involves working alongside existing paediatric audiologists and assistant staff at 3 purpose-built audiology test facilities in the city of Leeds. The post holder will lead the team both clinically and operationally under the supervision of the Audiology Service Manager. Clinically carrying out paediatric diagnostic hearing assessments and with onward referrals to the hospital ENT and audiology services.Service improvement and development are central to the vision for community paediatric audiology service provision. The post holder will support the service as it works towards IQUIPS accreditation.The team has monthly team meetings which include clinical and child protection supervision topics that staff are encouraged to contribute to.Clinical ResponsibilitiesDeliver high‑quality paediatric audiology care through face‑to‑face appointments within our community clinics.Provide day‑to‑day clinical support and guidance to team members, ensuring safe and effective practice.Chair the monthly Clinical Governance meeting, leading on clinical quality discussions and sharing key local and national updates that support continuous improvement.Service Development ResponsibilitiesYou'll help drive improvement and innovation within the service by:Implementing new service developments and additional service offers where identifiedSupporting the development of clinical pathways in collaboration with partners across the city and wider regionLeading, coordinating, and evidencing work towards IQIPS accreditation, ensuring continual quality improvementLine Management ResponsibilitiesYou will take an active role in supporting and developing the team through:Conducting appraisals and supporting ongoing professional developmentManaging annual leave requests and supporting workload planningOverseeing sickness absence, promoting staff wellbeing and appropriate workforce coverManaging performance or disciplinary processes when required, supported by service leadership and HRPlease refer to the Job Description and Person Specification for full details of the role and essential requirements.Please note: The advert may close early if we receive a high number of applications.For more Information about this Job, please contact -Vicky Hodgson vhodgson1@nhs.netWorking for Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust Who are we?Leeds Community Healthcare provides a range of community-based health services across the whole city.
