This position is a central leadership role within the finance team and offers a clear pathway towards Finance Director level as the business continues to grow and modernise its operations. The successful applicant will be instrumental in enhancing financial processes, refining reporting systems, and helping the organisation strengthen its financial insight and efficiency. A standout benefit of this position is a 4-day working week (Monday-Thursday) while receiving a full-time salary. Main Responsibilities Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate consolidation of international entities and insightful variance analysis Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, oversee balance sheet reconciliations, and supervise all sales and purchase invoicing activity Line-manage, support, and develop a team of five finance professionals Take charge of VAT submissions, statutory filings, and all required returns to government bodies Serve as the key liaison for external auditors Monitor daily cashflow and prepare forward-looking cash forecasts Manage loan stock drawdowns and stay on top of all funding positions Review stock movement data and payment activity across different stock categories Produce meaningful expenditure analysis and commentary to assist leadership decision-making Ensure all funding covenants and reporting commitments are consistently met Oversee payroll for all staff Build and maintain strong supplier and customer relationships, including occasional overseas travel when necessary Skills & Experience Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) Experienced in leading and developing a finance team Strong grounding in technical accounting and an analytical mindset Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills Comfortable working within a dynamic environment and managing competing priorities Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
