Role Overview
Key Responsibilities:
* Grow as a subject matter expert in hybrid and electric propulsion systems.
* Lead product development initiatives involving both software and hardware disciplines.
* Manage engineering projects and drive continuous improvement for hybrid tech.
* Offer technical support for customers and sales, including diagnosing and resolving system faults.
* Oversee software control processes for hybrid products.
* Support production and manufacturing for optimal quality and efficiency.
* Contribute to the creation and delivery of training for team members and external partners.
* Travel as needed to support customer commissioning and provide on-site technical guidance (UK and abroad).
Professional Qualifications & Experience Required:
* Degree in Electronics or Software Engineering, or equivalent.
* Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in engineering or manufacturing (5+ years preferred).
* Demonstrable track record in developing complex hardware–software integrated systems.
* Expertise in embedded software and C++ programming.
* Experience with CAN bus systems and protocols (such as NMEA 2000).
* Exposure to low voltage systems (knowledge of high voltage systems is an advantage).
* Strong background in customer support or field service roles.
* Understanding of lean methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks.
* Team leadership or mentoring experience is beneficial.
* Prior marine or hybrid propulsion system experience is an asset.
