Job Description:
Building Services Account Manager
M&E / Facilities Management Account
Central London - Single Contract
Bonus
Pension Scheme
Our customer is a well-established and growing property and real estate organization, with a number of high-profile commercial M&E and Facilities Management accounts across the UK and globally. Due to an internal restructure, they require an experienced and dynamic Account Manager / Director for a prestigious commercial customer based in Central London. The role involves working Monday to Friday, delivering a 5-star service, including M&E maintenance, energy & sustainability initiatives, and soft services across a high-profile building. The team comprises approximately 25 staff, including supervisory, engineering, and contract support/facilities personnel, with regular liaising with on-site clients. The salary guideline is between £75,000 and £85,000 for the right candidate, with additional benefits such as a bonus scheme, pension, and opportunities for training and career development within a market-leading organization in the commercial building services and facilities management sector.
Candidates should have at least five years of experience managing M&E or Total Facilities Management in commercial environments, whether for dedicated M&E service providers, managing agents, or similar. While technical expertise is not mandatory due to a strong engineering team on-site and centrally, experience in managing Landlord Services or M&E/Total FM clients is essential. Additional relevant training such as Institute of Leadership Management (Level 3-5), IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH, MIBFM, etc., will be considered advantageous.
Key experience areas include:
* Man-management of a team of approximately 25 staff
* Budgetary responsibility for a circa £2.5 million P&L
* Delivery of planned and reactive M&E maintenance across the site
* Engagement with multiple stakeholders
* Ensuring compliance through auditing
* Energy & sustainability initiatives
* Reducing work-in-progress (WIP)
* Identifying opportunities for project works
* Succession planning
This organization operates across various sectors, including corporate, banking, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and data centers. There are excellent opportunities for career progression, including moving into Area or Regional Management roles and internal mobility across different accounts. The role is suitable for an ambitious and determined Account Manager/Director eager to advance their career with a leading company in the industry.
