Artistic Design Director - Luxury Sculptures, Art, Installations
This role leads the creative direction for a globally celebrated brand at the intersection of luxury design, fashion, art, and culture. You will guide the creative direction of the New, Bespoke, and Classic collections, inspire the team, and captivate international audiences with your design voice.
Location: Didcot, Oxfordshire HQ (Hybrid 3 days per week in office) with travel required; minimum 6 trips per year. Competitive salary (based on expertise) plus bonus, private healthcare with Vitality, pension, 25 days holiday rising to 28, birthday leave, and employee benefits.
Responsibilities
* Guide the creative direction of the New, Bespoke, and Classic product collections while leading and mentoring a creative team.
* Own the full design process from research and ideation to concept and execution, translating creative direction into commercially successful products.
* Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, and Marketing to energise stakeholders and drive exceptional results across the company.
* Represent the brand externally as a keynote spokesperson, build relationships within the luxury design world, and travel frequently to champion the brand on an international stage.
* Lead design storytelling, public speaking, and networking to advance brand presence in high-profile UK and international design events.
* Translate client briefs into elegant bespoke proposals and manage multiple projects from sketch to proposal with precision and flair.
* Inspire and mentor the creative team, setting standards for design excellence while fostering innovation and curiosity.
Qualifications & Skills
* Degree in visual or product design (or equivalent experience) with senior-level expertise, ideally in the luxury sector.
* Strong grasp of historical, classical, and contemporary design; ability to balance creativity with commercial awareness.
* Excellent face-to-face client interaction skills and ability to translate complex briefs into elegant solutions.
* Exceptional communication and networking abilities; proven experience leading, motivating, and developing a creative team.
* Positive, open approach with the ability to inspire clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.

* Be the driving force behind David Harber's creative vision, shaping new concepts into elegant, commercially successful products while refreshing the Classic range.
* Transform client briefs into inspiring bespoke proposals; experiment boldly with materials and finishes; lead multiple projects from sketch to proposal.
* Act as a global ambassador, representing David Harber at high-profile events, leading CPDs, and building influential networks across the design world.
* Lead and mentor a talented creative team; collaborate with senior leaders to guide the business forward; unite teams, stakeholders, and clients around bold ideas.
