About The Team
The Employment Team is led by Rena Magdani (based in Leicester) and is ranked in Band 1 in Chambers & Partners, recognized as a Leader in the Field by Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500. The team comprises over 48 employment specialists across the country.
The team provides specialist employment law and HR advisory services to a range of companies, from PLCs to SMEs. This includes advice on disciplinary and grievance matters, unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE, whistleblowing, redundancy, restructures, and strategic advice to senior management and boards. They also advise senior executives and professionals on all aspects of employment relationships.

About The Role
We are seeking an Employment Associate with circa 1-3 PQE to join our friendly and dynamic team, ideally based in Leicester. The role offers the opportunity to work on a secondment for a longstanding client, involving a variety of employment law matters and internal HR training.
The work is fast-paced, requiring enthusiasm, strong communication skills, and a team-oriented approach. Our team offers a holistic, corporate-level service with a personal touch.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality client service and care.
* Manage finances effectively, including billing and WIP management.
* Contribute to business development to retain and expand client relationships.
* Maintain up-to-date technical expertise.
* Develop personal and interpersonal skills continually.
* Adhere to SRA competence standards.
* Perform other reasonable tasks as required.
Your Skills And Qualifications
* Relevant post-qualified experience (PQE) for the role.
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of client industries.
* Proven financial management and case management skills.
* Good IT skills, including case management systems and Microsoft Office.
* Self-motivated, friendly, with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Alignment with the firm’s values.
