We are seeking a friendly and proactive individual to join the Lancashire & South Cumbria Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme, based at Preston Business Centre, Preston, Lancashire. The role involves providing effective administrative support within the office, assisting with data entry, and actively monitoring appointments using relevant IT software systems.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Assisting with data entry for the National Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme.
2. Monitoring appointments for AAA screening using screening software systems.
3. Handling patient queries and telephone enquiries professionally.
4. Managing patient notes securely, ensuring they are accurately updated and confidentiality maintained.
5. Prioritising own workload to meet screening targets and deadlines.
6. Performing general administrative duties such as filing and photocopying.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess GCSEs or equivalent. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, strong organisational skills, and a flexible approach to working hours (including occasional Saturdays) are essential.
This position is based in Preston, Lancashire. Although the role is located in Lancashire, employment is with Gateshead NHS Foundation Trust, which provides hospital and community health services across the North East of England, including facilities like Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Bensham Hospital.
