We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our supported living team in Stratford Upon Avon.
As a Team Leader, you will support individuals with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) and Mild Learning Disabilities. Your responsibilities may include manual handling, medication administration, personal care, food preparation, household tasks, supporting individuals to keep in contact with family and friends, accessing the community, and attending appointments. We provide support for daily living skills and socialisation, offering specialised, person-centred support. Radis recognises each person as an individual, providing a tailored service that meets their specific needs with a consistent approach throughout their life.
- The people we support may occasionally display challenging behaviours, some of which could be physical in nature.
- You will work alongside the Managers of our Supported Living Services, overseeing the smooth operation of these services. This includes completing regular audits, checks, supervisions, spot checks, updating and reviewing support plans, and working to ensure individuals achieve their outcomes.
- The role involves scheduling and allocating work to Support Workers, supporting with medication and personal care tasks, and covering shifts within the services.
Previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health issues is required. Experience as a Team Leader or Senior Support Worker is advantageous. The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, working towards Level 3. Good written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to learn in line with clients' needs and expectations are essential.
