Job Description
The Campaign Manager is responsible for the In-life marketing strategy and plan to drive engagement, activation, cross-sell/upsell, and ARR, ensuring the optimization of both self-serve and hybrid routes to market to increase LTV. This role is critical for the Accountants segment and central to the demand plan.
Location: 3 days per week from our Manchester or Newcastle office.
Responsibilities
1. Own and execute the In-life marketing strategy and plan, aligned with the product roadmap, seasonality, and KPIs, including engagement, loyalty, surprise & delight, cross-sell & upsell, onboarding.
2. Drive engagement, usage, and add-ons within the Sage for Accountant and standalone brands platforms using marketing technology, data, and journey optimizations for personalized targeted communications and campaigns.
3. Lead the sub-team for In-life, including a Campaign Manager and marketing apprentice.
4. Accountable for In-life activities within the Accountant Squad, reporting on performance, optimizing activities, and working with the squad to improve performance.
5. Coordinate automated email activities considering customer segments and contact strategies.
6. Manage all communications to existing accountants and bookkeepers, ensuring high standards and internal approval compliance.
7. Lead the accountant advocacy workstream, planning activities to increase revenue per accountant.
8. Develop relevant and engaging content in collaboration with Product Marketing and Sales.
9. Manage data segmentation and briefing to internal teams to maximize opportunities.
10. Monitor and report on campaign metrics, driving improvements through testing and optimization.
11. Oversee budgets and track activities, including cost management and forecasting.
Skills & Experience
1. Proven experience in developing marketing plans with measurable outcomes.
2. Experience in driving engagement and ARR through personalized, targeted, in-product journeys leveraging martech.
3. End-to-end campaign planning and execution experience, with a customer-first approach.
4. Ability to transform core messages for suitable audiences.
5. Strong commercial awareness, capable of delivering on budgets, KPIs, revenue, and ROI.
6. Ability to collaborate across teams in a GTM environment.
7. Excellent English language skills, verbal and written.
8. Influencing and presentation skills.
