Purpose of the Role
As a Picker at Leader Online, you will play a crucial role in fulfilling customer orders by accurately selecting, handling, and preparing stock for dispatch using warehouse equipment including Reach Trucks. You will work within a fast-paced environment to ensure service level targets are met efficiently and safely.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
1. Order Picking & Fulfilment
o Accurately pick stock in accordance with picking instructions, OTIP targets, and dispatch requirements.
o Operate Reach Trucks safely to retrieve stock from various heights and locations.
o Ensure items are correctly labelled, packed, and prepared for dispatch.
o Use handheld scanners and the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to log picked items.
2. Stock Handling & Storage
o Transport and store stock safely and securely, banding and wrapping as required.
o Assist in replenishing picking areas from bulk storage.
o Carry out inventory counts and stock checks to maintain accuracy.
3. Goods In & Out
o Support with unloading incoming deliveries and loading outbound shipments as required.
o Conduct visual quality checks to ensure stock is damage-free and accurate against delivery notes.
4. Health, Safety & Compliance
o Operate all equipment including Reach Trucks in line with safety protocols and training.
o Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring walkways are clear and waste is disposed of correctly.
o Report any hazards, faulty equipment, or incidents to management immediately.
5. Performance & Teamwork
o Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet department KPIs and service levels.
o Show initiative in improving efficiency and reducing damages.
o Demonstrate reliability, accuracy, and a positive, proactive attitude.
Minimum Requirements
* Mandatory: Valid Reach Truck licence.
* Previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work to targets.
* Good literacy and numeracy skills.
Desirable Qualifications
* Counterbalance and/or Pivot Steer (Bendi/Flexi) licences.
* Experience using WMS and handheld scanners.
