My client are looking to strengthen their water engineering capability with talented professionals at Civil Design Engineer, Senior Civil Design Engineer, and Principal Civil Design Engineer level.

📝 Contract Type: Permanent or Contract (Outside IR35) – Full Time
The Role
You’ll be delivering high-quality civil engineering designs across the regulated water industry, playing a key role in producing safe, compliant, and efficient solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and support the development of CAD technicians while contributing to both outline and detailed design stages.
What you’ll be doing:
âś” Producing civil design deliverables to safety, quality, and regulatory standards
âś” Preparing calculations, drawings, reports, specifications, and risk assessments
âś” Carrying out hydraulic calculations and developing hydraulic profiles
âś” Mentoring and directing CAD technicians
âś” Supporting project planning, design estimates, and design reviews
âś” Attending and presenting at design and project meetings
What we’re looking for:
🔹 5–10+ years’ experience within the regulated water industry
🔹 Experience delivering water sector designs (clean water and/or wastewater)
🔹 Strong IT and engineering drawing skills
🔹 Professional body membership (working towards or holding CEng preferred)
🔹 Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and design standards
