We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Physiotherapist to join our Older Adults Physiotherapy Team at the Julian Hospital.
Within this role, you will work using evidence-based practice alongside a rich and varied MDT. You will assess, develop, and plan specialist treatments and interventions for older adults with complex mental health and physical problems. Your responsibilities will include moving and handling assessments, identifying exercises, and recording outcome measures for service users presenting with multi-pathologies and declining mental health function.

The successful candidate will work across wards and with our AHP team, with the ability to work independently under the supervision of the Allied Health Professional team within our Older Adults inpatient service.
(HCPC registration and CSP membership are essential.)
You will have the opportunity to work with inpatients who have organic (Dementia) and functional presentations such as psychosis, anxiety, and mood disorders. You will utilize your physical health training alongside your ability to communicate and engage with older people living with complex mental and physical health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintaining service users' safety, comfort, and well-being.
2. Completing moving and handling assessments, falls, balance, neurological, MSK, respiratory assessments, and corresponding treatments.
3. Delivering groups and exercise programs.
4. Providing specialist advice, educating others, and supporting junior staff.
5. Using community equipment provision systems (TCES equip) to facilitate the transition of care during discharge.
6. Completing home visits and visiting care homes as part of discharge planning.
7. Collaborating with other AHPs and the wider MDT to deliver high-quality care.
