Senior DevOps Systems Administrator
Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 DOE
Location: Guildford (Hybrid Working, One day a month required onsite)

Key Responsibilities
1. Design, deploy, and support AWS and private cloud infrastructure
2. Architect and maintain robust hybrid cloud solutions
3. Automate infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible
4. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
5. Implement monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch)
6. Improve system reliability, performance, and security across teams
7. Manage IAM, networking, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud security
8. Participate in the on-call rota and respond to incidents
9. Create and maintain technical documentation and best practices
10. Mentor colleagues and contribute to long-term infrastructure strategy
Essential Skills & Experience
Required:
11. 5+ years’ experience in DevOps or Systems Administration
12. Hands-on experience with AWS
13. Experience with VMware or Proxmox
14. Strong Linux administration skills
15. Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
16. Configuration management using Ansible
17. Experience with Kubernetes (e.g. EKS)
18. Scripting in Bash, Python, or Go
19. Solid understanding of networking and cloud security
Desirable:
20. AWS certifications
21. Experience with container and security tools such as Trivy
