The GelBottle Inc. is on an exciting growth journey, and we're looking for a Group Financial Controller to be part of our vibrant, founder-led company. We love team members who like working in an autonomous environment and are driven to create impact. The Group has operations in the UK, USA (Portland, Oregon) and Europe. You'll possess the ability to make strategic recommendations on financial and operational infrastructure requirements.
In this role, you'll use your expertise within the Beauty space, preferably in both B2B and Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) channels to contribute to the financial success of the organisation in a small business environment. You can expect to:
* Transactional Finance
Take full ownership of transactional finance across the Group, including accounts payable, receivable (credit control), and stock. Lead and support team members to ensure accurate, timely processing, maximising automation through Netsuite.
* Financial Reporting
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of Group financials. Own the balance sheet, cashflow, and monthly reporting pack, delivering insights into P&L movements and their future business impact.
* Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead the development of balance sheet and cashflow forecasts. Work closely with FP&A to deliver insightful and actionable P&L budgets and projections.
* Statutory & Regulatory Compliance
Manage all statutory and regulatory requirements across the Group, including financial reporting, tax compliance, and company secretarial obligations. Maintain relationships with external consultants and stakeholders.
* Treasury
Own Group cashflow forecasting and debt management, working collaboratively across teams. Manage banking relationships with traditional and digital financial platforms.
* Finance Systems
Oversee finance systems across the Group, identifying opportunities for improved efficiency and reporting. Partner with IT, supply chain, and other teams on system enhancements.
* Controls
Develop and maintain robust finance control policies and processes to safeguard assets, while driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
* Additional Responsibilities
Oversee monthly payroll and employee expenses. Contribute to financial strategy and support the CFO and leadership team in decision-making.
This is a hybrid role, up to 3 days a week onsite at our Brighton HQ.
About you:
We’re looking for a commercially minded Group Financial Controller with 8+ years PQE and proven experience leading finance in a fast-paced product retail environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a track record of influencing senior stakeholders. We think you'll also need:
* ACA qualified (or equivalent)
* Prior experience as a Group Financial Controller
* E-commerce and beauty industry background preferred
* Extensive team management experience
* Strong Netsuite expertise
* Confident building relationships at senior level
