Senior Business Analyst
Windsor, UK (1 day a week onsite) | £450 per day (Inside IR35) | 6-month contract
Our client, a top global organization, is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a high-profile programme supporting finance and operational transformation initiatives. This role requires a confident, client-facing Business Analyst with strong finance domain experience and the ability to operate independently across multiple stakeholders and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Demand Management process, from idea capture through scoping and business case creation
Oversee the full requirements lifecycle including scoping, elicitation, documentation, traceability, formal sign-off
Contribute to supplier selection processes where required
Act as a liaison between Project Sponsors, Directors, Business Leads, End Users, and technical teams
Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical delivery capabilities
Conduct operational effectiveness assessments and recommend efficiency improvements
Provide market trend and financial analysis to identify improvement opportunities
Collaborate closely with Development and QA/UAT teams to validate delivery against requirements
Maintain and manage a requirements traceability matrix
Support impact assessments for newly mobilised projects
Ensure all deliverables are reviewed and formally approved
This is an individual contributor role with no direct line management responsibilities.
Essential Skills & Experience
6+ years' experience as a Business Analyst
Strong experience across Finance projects and processes, including:
Core accounting
Journal management
High-volume transaction matching
Balance sheet reconciliation
Experience with BlackLine or Trintech solutions
Strong understanding of business processes and their alignment to technology solutions
Experience working within Agile delivery environments
Knowledge of architecture and integration concepts across internal and external IT systems
Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., ADO, Visio, process mapping, workshop facilitation)
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, particularly with non-technical audiences
Commercial awareness and solid finance/accounting knowledge
Experience managing multiple vendors and coordinating cross-functional teams
Client-facing with excellent communication skills
Desirable Experience
Exposure to the Energy industry
Awareness of industry technology trends
