About the Role

This role is based at Eastchurch, Sheppey, where we deliver courses to Cat D prisoners as well as to community learners.
What will you be doing?
* Teaching and assessing Level 2 Bricklaying (practical and theory)
* Supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and career goals
* Designing, delivering and evaluating engaging programmes of study
* Encouraging and motivating students to develop confidence and employability skills
* Leading and contributing to designated study programmes and/or courses
* Delivering other multi-trade skills (desirable but not essential)

* Strong knowledge and experience in Bricklaying
* Confident in delivering theory as well as practical sessions
* Organised, supportive and passionate about helping learners succeed
* Teaching experience welcome, but not essential – training is provided

Salary
Please note that there are two salary scale points for our Lecturer positions. All candidates will start at the introductory salary scale point unless certain criteria are met. Lecturers will normally move up to the highest salary scale once one full academic year of teaching for our group is complete. Lecturers must be in post by 1st September in any given year to qualify and this is subject to approval.

You will be a highly organised and creative educator, able to plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire learners and help them reach their full potential. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to assess, track and support student progress are essential to ensuring all learners succeed.

Desirable (but Not Essential)
* Teaching experience or experience delivering workplace training – full training and support will be provided for the successful applicant
