What are we looking for?
Reporting directly to the Enterprise Chief Technology Officer, Cleveland Clinic, with a dotted line to the Associate Chief Information Officer in London, you will provide strategic leadership working hand in hand with the Enterprise for the design, implementation, optimisation and lifecycle management of enterprise‑wide technologies & applications, vendor selections and managed services across Cleveland Clinic London entities and affiliates.
The role is accountable for maximising value from significant multi‑million‑pound investments in core platforms, ensuring systems are safe, reliable and support high‑quality, efficient patient care. You will be a key member of the IT leadership team, shaping digital strategy, driving transformation, running day to day operations and acting as the senior advisor to executives and operational leadership.
This role carries organisational‑wide responsibility for London technology strategy, budget stewardship and vendor performance, with direct impact on patient, clinician and operational experience.
You will act as the senior technology authority for CCL London, accountable for technology risk, resilience and innovation, and for delivering measurable improvements in clinical, operational and financial outcomes.
This role is a core member of the digital and technology leadership team, working directly with the Enterprise CTO, London ACIO and Hospital Executives to shape and execute the digital strategy.

What will your duties include?
1. Provides strategic, financial and operational leadership for all technologies supporting Cleveland Clinic London.
2. Develops strategic and technical business plans.
3. Develops and owns multi‑year strategic and technical roadmaps for technologies and infrastructure, aligned with CCL and Enterprise digital strategy.
4. Leads the planning and management of multi‑million‑pound operating and capital budgets for technologies, ensuring demonstrable return on investment and cost optimisation.
5. Provides senior leadership to a diverse, multidisciplinary team (internal and external resources), defining organisation design, workforce plans and talent development for the technology function.
6. Serves as executive‑level point of escalation for application performance, safety and availability, ensuring robust governance, risk management and compliance with regulatory and information security requirements.
7. Directs the implementation, integration and optimisation of the technology suite and related systems, ensuring standardisation with the broader Cleveland Clinic Enterprise.
8. Partners with clinical, operational and corporate leaders to identify, prioritise and deliver digital and data‑driven improvements to quality, safety, patient experience and operational efficiency.
9. Establishes and monitors key performance indicators and technologies and managed services, using data to drive continuous improvement and to inform investment decisions.
10. Leads vendor strategy and executive‑level vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, performance management and resolution of complex commercial or delivery issues.

What we need from you?
12. Bachelor’s degree in information technology/computer science, Health Sciences, Healthcare Admin or related field is essential
13. Master's Degree preferred
14. Deep experience and expertise in leading a Technology function within a substantial IT operation is essential
15. A demonstrable track record over multiple roles (or equivalent progression) of leading an IT Technology team, inspiring the team and overseeing all people-management considerations for the Technology team is essential
16. Significant information services management experience in a medium to large medical or industrial organisation, including demonstrable experience in a senior leadership role with enterprise‑wide accountability is essential
17. Knowledge of healthcare operations is essential
18. Demonstrable experience managing operating and capital technology budgets is essential
