We’re offering a 12‑month fixed‑term opportunity (which may be extended) with significant scope to set strategic direction, influence outcomes and deliver real impact across the organisation. This high‑profile leadership role will oversee digital strategy, planning and portfolio execution, shaping how digital innovation powers our regulatory mission.
Key responsibilities
* Lead on digital prioritisation, business planning and delivery governance.
* Implement change that truly matters, overseeing a broad and evolving portfolio.
* Translate complex goals into actionable change and guide high‑performing teams.
* Shape and refresh Ofgem’s Digital Strategy and ensure strategic outcomes translate into deliverable initiatives aligned with priorities.
* Champion digital innovation, data‑driven decision‑making and good practice across the portfolio.
* Build capability and foster high‑performing, inclusive delivery teams.
Person specification
* Proven ability to shape and articulate a coherent and cohesive digital strategy and drive from strategy to execution at enterprise scale.
* Extensive track record in shaping and leading large‑scale digital change within complex environments.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills with a wide range of stakeholders, up to the C‑suite and board.
* Focus on outcomes, metrics and continuous improvement using data and insight.
* Experience in leading and managing multiple teams across organisational boundaries and coaching individuals.
* Sound experience in all aspects of Portfolio, Programme and Project Management, with formal qualification (e.g. APM, MSP) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
