Maths Teacher Position at a Secondary School in Macclesfield
A dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school in Macclesfield, joining on a full-time basis from September 2024. The role is ongoing, likely covering the full academic year.
This full-time position involves teaching Key Stage 3 & 4, and is open to both ECTs and experienced teachers.
You will be expected to engage fully within the department and school, attend departmental meetings, be available for parents’ evenings, and plan and deliver high-standard, engaging lessons that challenge pupils. The school focuses on GCSE preparation and building knowledge throughout KS3 and KS4. You will also mark work and provide feedback in line with AfL strategies.
The school fosters a safe and welcoming environment where students feel proud and enthusiastic about their education. High expectations for behaviour are maintained, and students are punctual and motivated. Opportunities also exist to participate in extracurricular activities such as sports, drama clubs, and the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

REQUIREMENTS, TRAINING, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
* Degree educated with a good classification
* Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, QTS, etc.)
* Previous experience working with young people (reference available)
* Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (reference available)
* Up-to-date Safeguarding training (within the last year)
* Up-to-date Prevent awareness training (within the last 3 years)
* Up-to-date behaviour management & FGM training (training can be provided)
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS registered with the online update service or willingness to apply at a cost
* Provide two professional references
