Offer description

Role - Videographer and Editor (Full Time)

Salary - £28,000 - £30,000 per year

Company Description

Playfair helps businesses establish a strong online presence through consistent and creative content. In a digital world filled with noise, Playfair offers Always-On Creative content that help brands grow their reputation and trust.

Videographer and Editor Role

We are looking for a Videographer and Editor to produce high quality, engaging video and audio content, such as podcasts, interviews, product/service spotlights, webinars, vlogs, case studies, ads and a range of social media video styles.

We specialise in Always-On Creative Content for our clients - creating long form content that is distilled down to a range of social media post and reel styles. We have a range of clients on our monthly ‘content plans’, as well as an roster of clients that return for bespoke video projects and an exciting, constant stream of new clients.

We’re looking for a strong understanding of videography including scene, lighting, audio, and camera operation - as well as a strong editing capability. Some projects are specifically storyboarded, and others come to life in the edit - so flexibility and creativity is key.

Skill and enthusiasm in photography will put you at an advantage. Experience and skill in animation is desirable, but not essential.

Through the huge changes in AI generated content, we’re making it a key part of the business and ensuring we use it in the right way, to complement our excellent creative work. A passion and willingness to embrace AI as part of the future will be important.

What’s most important is your enthusiasm, drive and natural talent, with a strong portfolio of work.

We choose to work from home, but meet in person a minimum of once per month, with quarterly longer get togethers to plan, recognise success and have fun. Filming is on location, so a full driving license is required.

Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal person has the following:

* Strong enthusiasm and understanding of all aspects of videography
* Technical understanding of video, audio and lighting equipment
* Comprehensive video and audio software knowledge
* Natural creative flair
* Strong showreel of work
* Able to listen and understand a brief
* Confidence in dealing with colleagues and clients - including directing and presenting
* Excellent attention to detail
* Continual awareness of current and future trends in the video, audio and social media
* Keen to stay close to AI and learn to embrace it in the right way for support in content creation
* Basic understanding of marketing and social media
