You’ll work closely with the CEO, Head of BD, Product, and Customer Success teams to build systems, drive performance, and transform a strong, mission-driven service business into a software-forward company with a clear path to recurring revenue (ARR). Key Responsibilities1. BD Planning, Execution, and Pipeline Management
* Lead the development of quarterly sales targets (revenue, customer mix, product mix) in partnership with the CEO, CFO, and Head of BD.
* Build and maintain the BD pipeline tracker; ensure it’s updated, analyzed, and action-oriented.
* Facilitate prioritization of leads and BD activities with clear operational steps, ownership, and accountability.
* Track progress against targets, monitor execution, and proactively address dropped balls or pipeline leaks.
* Draft and maintain standardized proposal templates and serve as “Keeper of the Terms.”
2. Operational Excellence & Internal Leadership
* Serve as the ambassador of standard work, designing, deploying, and continuously improving internal BD systems and workflows to drive clarity, efficiency, and scale.
* Lead knowledge management for BD, owning documentation, file structure, and information tracking across prospects, clients, and proposals.
* Support the CEO in aligning BD with strategic planning and profitable growth.
3. Product Commercialization & Sales Transition
* Partner with Product and Customer Success to ensure smooth transition from sunsetting service offerings to software products.
* Support pricing strategy development based on market feedback and unit-level profitability.
* Structure and facilitate an iterative go-to-market planning process to move from one-off sales to scalable enterprise sales.
* Monitor and report on product sales mix—legacy, current, and emerging products—and lead business case evaluations for future offerings.
4. Voice of the Customer & Strategic Feedback Loop
* Lead the systematic collection and prioritization of customer insights to inform product development and market positioning.
* Develop frameworks and tools to help the team synthesize insights across BD, Customer Success, and Product.
