Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile bricklayer/improver/labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with a variety of building and renovation projects, contributing to the realisation of high-quality structures. Responsibilities
* Assisting skilled tradespeople with tasks involving hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
* Supporting bricklaying, masonry, carpentry, roofing, and welding activities as directed
* Preparing work sites by clearing debris and setting up scaffolding or protective barriers
* Handling materials such as bricks, cement, timber, and roofing supplies
* Ensuring all tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stored safely after use
* Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times during construction activities
* Contributing to the overall progress of projects by completing assigned labour tasks efficiently
Requirements
* Experience or familiarity with hand tools, power tools, bricklaying, masonry, carpentry, roofing, or welding is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for motivated candidates
* Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
* Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from senior team members
* Valid UK driving licence is preferred but not mandatory; reliable transportation is beneficial
