Our client are recruiting for a QA Manager to join their technical team at the Leeds site.
As a fresh produce grower and processor they are seeking an experienced QA Manager to manage the QA and intake team to support their continued success in supplying great quality products to their customers. The Role
The QA Manager will provide exemplary quality auditing & management duties to ensure the smooth operation of the production objectives and targets in accordance with quality, BRC and safety standards and to audit activities of processing production workers to verify conformance of activities to quality assurance standards, applying knowledge of job performance requirements, equipment operation standards, and product processing specifications.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
1. To effectively manage, audit and motivate the Technical Team
2. Assist in the development, implementation and management of hygiene standards and procedures.
3. Assist in managing existing suppliers and approving new suppliers, including raw material specifications and intake checks.
4. Effectively train and educate staff according to the needs determined by the business, customer, and legislative requirements.
5. To review, audit and challenge factory operations, product quality and quality systems to ensure that manufacturing operations maintain the highest standards of food safety and product integrity in line with the Technical Manager’s requirements.
6. To conduct factory audits to ensure that all areas comply with hygienic audits, both internal and external, reporting any anomalies found.
7. Monitoring the QA team regarding checking goods in and monitoring the progress throughout the business
8. Conduct and organise environmental swabbing and product analysis as schedule dictates.
What We Are Looking For
We’re looking for someone who has previous experience of managing a technical team in the food industry. You will have knowledge and experience of leading a team for BRC requirements. Excellent communication and IT skills are essential.
