Our Deals Tax team works closely with our Deals practice to advise on the tax implications of all aspects of transactions including mergers & acquisition, business recovery services and real estate. Part of the wider corporate tax network, we work collaboratively across specialisms to drive value and help our clients succeed at all stages of the deal lifecycle.
About The Role
The role sits within the Private Equity Portfolio (PE Portfolio) Tax team, one of the most successful groups in PwC’s Deals Tax network. What Your Days Will Look Like
* Lead teams to deliver bespoke, commercially focused tax advice in a dynamic international deals market
* Establish and maintain trusted advisor relationships, leading client engagements and multi‑disciplinary solutions
* Proactively identify opportunities to deliver and enhance value for new and existing clients
* Leverage internal networks to access specialist input on tax and non‑tax matters in transactions
* Ensure successful project delivery and management, including oversight of financial performance
* Contribute to the strategic vision of the Deals Tax Team, driving growth and diversification initiatives
* Lead by example through personal development, coaching, and supporting team members to reach their potential
* Manage corporate tax relationships with Private Equity‑backed clients, expanding services beyond tax and targeting new portfolio businesses
The role is for you if
* Must possess a Chartered Accountant (ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS, CAI) or Chartered Tax Advisor (ATT, CTA) or equivalent international or legal professional qualification. This includes international candidates who qualify through experience in their home country.
* Extensive experience leading teams on PE transactions, including due diligence, structuring, and tax modelling
* Strong knowledge of indirect taxes, transfer pricing, management taxes, and international tax principles
* Proven track record of building and maintaining internal and external networks across the UK and overseas
* Excellent communication skills, with expertise in negotiation and influencing stakeholders
* Inquisitive problem‑solver with the ability to work effectively within diverse teams
* Skilled at applying tax technical knowledge and insights in fast‑paced commercial environments
* Demonstrated success in winning client engagements and developing new business relationships
