Structural CAD Technician
Swansea | Full-Time | Permanent
Our client i a growing structural engineering consultancy based in Swansea, delivering a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, education, and industrial projects throughout Wales. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a talented and motivated Structural CAD Technician to join a friendly and collaborative team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who enjoys working on varied projects and wants to develop their career within a supportive consultancy environment.
The Structural CAD Technician role;
You will work closely with structural engineers and project teams to produce accurate and high-quality technical drawings across a range of building structures.
Key responsibilities include:
* Producing structural drawings using AutoCAD
* Preparing GA drawings, detailing, and construction information
* Assisting engineers with drawing coordination and revisions
* Working on projects involving steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry structures
* Coordinating drawings with architects and external consultants
* Maintaining drawing standards and project documentation
* Supporting project delivery to agreed timescales
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience working as a Structural CAD Technician within an engineering consultancy
* Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
* Good understanding of structural engineering drawings and detailing
* Experience working on building structures projects
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Knowledge of Revit would be beneficial but not essential
