Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in both care home and home care settings. This position requires a commitment to supporting the well-being of our clients while ensuring their dignity and comfort are maintained at all times.
Duties
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Support the implementation of care plans tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring that all aspects of their care are met.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the supervising nurse or manager.
* Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments when necessary.
* Ensure that the care environment is clean, safe, and welcoming for all clients.
Skills
* Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
* Strong communication skills to build rapport with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating via electronic systems.
* Experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
