Job Title: Electronic Field Service Engineer
Location: West Bromwich, West Midlands
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (08:00 - 16:30)
Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 DOE

An Electronic Engineering firm has an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join their Engineering Team. This role offers security and stability, with training and development opportunities, supported by a friendly and welcoming team.
Responsibilities
1. Service and repair of industrial electronic equipment, including PLCs, AC/DC drives, CNCs, HMIs, automated process machines, servo drives, printer circuit boards, ABB robots, Fanuc machinery, and electrical sensors.
2. Provide professional, reactive, and proactive service to customers.
3. Fault find and problem-solve responsibly and methodically, ensuring customer satisfaction.
4. Be flexible to meet customers' deadlines and demands.
5. Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and within specified timescales.
Approximately 60% of the workload will be based within the central workshop (West Bromwich), with 40% travelling to customer sites within the West Midlands region and occasionally further afield.
Skills and Experience
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Good industrial electronics knowledge, including PLC skills across multiple platforms (programming not essential).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication skills.
* Clean driving license (essential).
* Experience as a multiskilled or electrically biased maintenance engineer is preferred.
* Background or previous experience in aerospace, pharmaceutical, automotive, chemical, or food industries is advantageous.
* NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification or similar.
* Minimum of 3-5 years industry experience.
