A growing fire & life safety specialist is looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join its field team across Leeds and the surrounding areas.
This is a hands-on role focused on planned maintenance and reactive fault-finding, keeping life-critical fire alarm systems compliant, reliable, and ready when they matter most. You’ll be trusted to work independently, supported by a strong operations and compliance structure behind you.

What You’ll Be Doing
6. Carrying out fire alarm maintenance and fault rectification (Level 2 & Phase 2 reactives)
7. Responding to reactive breakdowns across customer sites
8. Taking part in a planned out-of-hours call-out rota
9. Managing enhanced van stock to maximise first-time fix rates
10. Owning your van stock — organised, accurate, and ready
11. Working in line with British Standards and regulatory requirements
Service & Site Standards
12. Delivering a high level of customer service on every visit
13. Completing work right the first time, every time
14. Representing the business professionally on-site
15. Building trust with customers through reliability and communication
Health, Safety & Compliance
16. Completing RAMS where required
17. Identifying and escalating any safety or compliance risks
18. Working closely with internal compliance teams
19. Following all health & safety procedures without exception
What We’re Looking For Essential
20. Strong understanding of fire alarm and fire safety systems
21. Solid knowledge of relevant British Standards
22. Proven fault-finding and repair experience
23. Professional, customer-focused approach
24. Confident working independently and using initiative
Desirable / Trainable
25. Experience in a reactive maintenance environment
26. Familiarity with compliance-led service delivery
27. Experience working within an on-call rota
