HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM: The main tasks and responsibilities will include: Ensure safe operation of the product with respect to structural integrity and operational effectiveness. Functional F&DT guidance and strategy definition for new modifications and product development Ensure adherence to F&DT regulations, relevant design principles, processes, methods and manufacturing capabilities guidelines and define, interpret and validate tests Interface and communicate with relevant stakeholders Provide relevant input to design for the creation of drawings for manufacture and support to other functions (eg. production, customer support) as needed. Perform monitoring/guidance/support of Internal F&DT team and Sub-contracting firms providing structure analysis work Challenge processes, methods and ways of working to ensure best overall delivery to Time, Cost and Quality Approve and Authorise F&DT/Structural Analysis documentation, providing assurance of its Quality and Safety. As an experienced member of the team you will support the development of others by mentoring, giving energy to the team and creating a sense of purpose. Promote and take personal action to deliver on commitments and strengthen customer focus. Ensure consistency and share lessons between work streams including communication with other Principal Engineers. Lead the functional F&DT team to adhere to processes, methods & tools (PMT). Act as the first point of contact with HoE for the F&DT skill. Work with the other domain Principals and HoE to define and deliver the product strategy. Provide support through your delegated authority and act as point of escalation where appropriate ABOUT YOU: We are looking for candidates with the following skills and competences: Experience of leading complex technical challenges with demonstrated problem solving skills. Extensive Knowledge and experience of Airbus & Bombardier PMT on A220 program. Having held or currently holding Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Delegated Approval from Bombardier on A220 Program Wing MCA. A broad Analysis experience across the lifecycle of our products. Knowledge of airworthiness requirements, holding Delegation for F&DT Analysis. Someone who strives for continual improvement by challenging the status quo. An ability to clearly communicate concepts and complex topics, having the ability to adjust to their audience. A Dynamic individual with great team spirit.
