Behaviour Mentor – Secondary School – Harlow (Immediate Start – Full Time)
Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning? We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a welcoming secondary school in Harlow. This full‑time role supports students who may require additional support with behaviour, engagement, emotional regulation, attendance, confidence, and wellbeing.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring to students across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Support students with behaviour management, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning
* Build positive and professional relationships that promote confidence, resilience, and self‑esteem
* Work closely with Pastoral Leaders, Heads of Year, SENCOs, Safeguarding Teams, and teaching staff
* Implement targeted intervention strategies to improve behaviour, attendance, and outcomes
* Support students both inside and outside the classroom
* Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
Qualifications
* Patient, empathetic, and proactive
* Experience working with young people in education, youth work, coaching, mentoring, care, or support settings
* Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
* Confidence supporting students with challenging behaviour and additional needs
* Genuine passion for helping young people succeed
* Graduates, aspiring teachers, youth workers, sports coaches, support workers, and psychology graduates strongly encouraged to apply
Pay & Benefits
* £93 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
* Fortnightly pay – reliable and consistent
