CORD by Le Cordon Bleu London is looking to recruit an experienced in hospitality Sales and Events manager.
It is a maternity cover position- 14 months contract starting January 2026
Job Purpose
To manage all CORD Sales, reservations and events bookings related matters.
Reports to: General Manager on daily basis
Director of Sales and Marketing
Supervises: Reception / Reservations team
Duties and responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
* Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase weekday and evening covers.
* Build and nurture relationships with local businesses, corporate offices, hotels, and concierges to generate group bookings and regular clientele.
* Develop partnerships with luxury lifestyle platforms, travel agencies, and event planners to attract tourists and high-end diners.
* Actively promote and sell private dining experiences, exclusive venue hires, and bespoke events.
Manage Sales pipeline and conversion:
* Engages with our customers and acts as an ambassador for the restaurant.
* Takes ownership for dealing with customer queries and complaints in a professional manner.
* Deals with enquiries, bookings and requests in a timely and professional manner whilst actively promoting the business, maximising turnover and delivering service excellence.
* Maximises occupancy by best use of all areas of the business, identifying opportunities and time slots to increase sales
* Through the effective use of business processes and systems, manage business performance against financial targets, business risk compliance and standards
Reservations management:
* Oversee and manage the team on all reservations matters via phone, email, online platforms, and in-person. This includes booking, modifying, and cancelling reservations, as well as managing waitlists.
* Follow up timely on all guests’ inquiries, address and resolve any guest issues or complaints related to reservations.
* Work closely with the restaurant's managers and the senior chefs, to ensure CORD provide memorable experience to all the guests .
* Tracking reservation data, analysing trends, and generating reports to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
* Proficiency in reservation systems and software, such as OpenTable or other similar platforms.
* Train all new staff and supervise the team on all process and procedures .
Events Management
* Manage end-to-end planning and execution of private and corporate events, including menu planning, client communication, and coordination with internal teams.
* Create tailored packages that showcase our culinary and wine masterclasses for groups, companies, and special occasions.
* Maintain a strong events calendar to maximize occupancy and revenue throughout the year.
Marketing & Promotions
* Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies targeting key demographics (corporate, tourists, local foodies).
* Represent the brand at networking events, trade shows, and community initiatives.
* Create and manage a CRM strategy to retain clients and upsell future experiences.
Coordinate and communicate with team members:
* Supports the team members and communicates well with the whole team.
* Takes ownership for their own development and is willing to learn new skills and explore opportunities to continually improve and progress.
* Supports and delivers pre and post shift briefings to ensure effective communication of the marketing strategy and events to all team members
Reporting:
* Maintains industry awareness understanding the competitive market and takes appropriate action to ensure the restaurant stays ahead in the market place
* Conducts routine competitor reviews (direct and indirect) to ensure our offer is competitive and standards are well maintained
* Complete reports on marketing activities, tracking and recommendations for strategic planning
Café Sales Support
* Support marketing and cross-promotions to drive footfall to the café shop adjacent to the restaurant.
* Identify synergies between the café and restaurant offerings to increase average spend and brand engagement.
