BPAS is seeking a Practice Development Lead to join the team on a full time basis working remotely for 36 hours per week over Monday to Friday with occasional travel to BPAS units.
About the role
As a Practice Development Lead, you will play a pivotal role in supporting BPAS clinics and telemedicine hubs by providing training, development, and competency assessments to our clinical workforce. You will ensure that our staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver safe and effective abortion and related care, including contraception and STI testing. You will actively promote evidence-based practice throughout BPAS.
About you
You will be a Registered Adult Nurse Level 1 or Midwife (practising) with active NMC registration and PIN. You will bring at least 2 years of post-registration experience in primary/urgent care, showcasing your ability to work within established guidelines, policies, & procedures. It is important you have an understanding of the various services provided by BPAS, as you will support and work collaboratively with clinical staff improving patientexperience.
You will have exceptional communication skills, along with a commitment to ongoing professional development, and a strong grasp of clinical quality improvement processes.
Main duties of the job
1. To workclosely with the Quality Matrons within the defined remit to provide the bestlearning environment for clinical staff.
2. Assessingcompetency in the delivery of abortion and related care (, contraception,STI testing).
3. Todeliver training sessions in the workplace in line with BPAS Policies andTraining Materials, in clinical subjects only.
4. To assessclinician competency using approved Learning and Development materials.
5. To constructdevelopment plans where clinical competency requires improvement.
6. Tochallenge practice where appropriate, offering support for learning.
7. Topromote professional development in all staff groups.
8. Tocoordinate and submit the yearly Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to the AssociateDirector of Nursing & Midwifery and the Head of Learning & Development.
9. Tocoordinate the BPAS Simulation Based Education programme.

Further Information
Location: This is a home working role. Travel to office locations or units maybe required in line with business needs.
Salary: £43,857 - £51,544 per annum - depending on skills and experience.
Hours Per Week: 36 hours per week.
Hours of Work : Monday - Thursday 9am to 5pm and Friday9am to
