About the role
Retail Media has been identified as a key enabler of profit growth across JLP and is a priority for the Partnership. We are at the start of an exciting transformation journey to evolve our capability in this space in order to help deliver more personalised experiences to delight our customers and create compelling and impactful Retail Media propositions for our branded partners. As an Activation Specialist within Waitrose Retail Media, you will support the excellent delivery of our media assets which have been agreed with brands. You will be responsible for a dedicated media channel supporting all clients, overseeing the execution of the assets within the channel from briefing stage to go live. You will also be responsible for reporting the campaign success to the Media Manager and client. You will provide activation expert support to continuously improve efficiencies within the Activations team and wider Retail Media team.
* Expected salary- £35,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience).
* Contract type - This position is a Fixed Term contract (internall a Secondment) until the end of January 2026
* Working pattern/flexible working - The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The Activations team meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings.
* Location- This role is based at our Bracknell Head Office.
Key responsibilities
* You will be responsible for a dedicated media channel, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to oversee the complete campaign lifecycle. This includes briefing retail media campaigns, securing client creative approval, and ensuring successful activation.
* You will report on campaign performance, providing data-driven reports to the Retail Media Manager and client to help inform future strategies. This role requires strong organisational skills, the ability to apply best practices effectively and a genuine interest in retail and Media Sales.
* You will possess strong commercial insight, natural talent for interpreting data, and excellent communication skills to guide and influence others within a fast-paced setting. Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets is essential. Through your Profession you will have the opportunity to develop and stretch personally and professionally to achieve your potential.
Essential skills/experience you'll need
Relevant experience in campaign management
Evidence of customer orientation, effective stakeholder management and planning and prioritisation
Experience working with Google Sheets to an advanced level
Evidence in strong written and verbal communication
Experience interpreting data for insights
Desirable skills/experience you may have
Further qualifications in marketing or business
Experience working in a Retail Media environment
Relevant experience working within the retail sector
