About the Role: Are you a proactive, self-motivated sales professional with a "hunter" mentality and a proven track record in the dairy sector? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join a team committed to improving herd health on dairy farms worldwide. This role involves proactive, independent selling, treating your territory like your own business, and building your own customer base through cold calling and face-to-face farm visits. This is a complex, consultative sales role where you will be expected to provide expert advice, listen to farmers' pain points, and offer suitable solutions by understanding and explaining complex herd health technology. Our client provides comprehensive onboarding and the training you need to be successful and excel in this role.
Responsibilities:
* To proactively cover and grow your territory
* Identify and acquire new customers with your strong ‘hunter mentality’ and closing skills
* Provide expert advice and support to potential customers, to understand customers’ individual needs & challenges, and offer suitable solutions
* To meet activity KPIs and sales targets
* Effectively use the CRM system to manage customer contacts, sales activities, and market information
* Represent the company at trade shows and customer events
* Work closely with other team members to ensure a seamless customer experience
* Contribute to a positive team culture through communication
Qualifications:
* Proven track record in sales within the dairy sector or related industries, as well as knowledge of the dairy farming sector & associated technologies
Required Skills:
* Excellent interpersonal and consultative skills
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to effectively prioritise and manage your own time
* High self-motivation, energy, and perseverance to achieve or exceed your sales targets
* A broad network in the dairy industry that sees you as a trusted and competent partner
* A driving licence and the motivation for field sales
* Positive attitude and resilience
