Primary Function
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) functions as a member of the inpatient healthcare team, delivering excellent care and customer service.
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the LPN provides routine nursing care, monitors patients' vital signs and overall health, and assists other caregivers as directed. The LPN supervises and delegates appropriate tasks to nursing assistants and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) within the care team.
Performs additional duties as assigned to ensure high-quality service within the scope of practice.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
Vocational or technical training in Nursing and at least one year of relevant experience or equivalent is required. RI State Licensure is also mandatory.
