Overview
A unique opportunity has become available to join the land-based team due to one of the team gaining promotion to a senior role. The Land-based faculty which has an ambitious culture and a drive to succeed. You'll be involved in nurturing and developing the next generation of animal care workers on full time, adult and short courses. We're already a successful college, but we're continually striving to be better and do better - be part of our story!
In the role of Animal care Lecturer, you'll predominantly be based at the Taylor Hill and your focus will be on delivering creating, driving and leading on high quality lessons and practical sessions in the various animal care units.
Responsibilities
* Providing quality first teaching to a range of levels and subject areas, to deliver quality practical lessons to learners.
* Supporting the team with providing enrichment, recruitment and study program requirements.
* Participating in the development and planning of new courses as well as engaging with the section improvement objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant level degree qualification related to animal management (or be able to prove equivalent ability) and demonstrable experience in animal husbandry and care as well as delivering learning.
* Experience delivering lessons to level 4 and above is desirable but not essential.
* Ability to teach at level 3 and a land-based degree level qualification or be able to prove equivalent ability with demonstrable experience in the animal care sector.
* Strong communication skills, ability to engage with young people, communicate effectively, demonstrate college values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence.
* Committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
